You can sell anything over the phone!

Just this week, one of my coaching clients asked me this question:

"Do you think we can sell our product over the phone?"

It 's a question I had for years in my seminars to hear. X or Y may be sold in this way?

Finally, I wrote the best-selling book, everything is possible PHONE FOR SALE!

I stand by this statement, you can still do, and demonstrate responsibility to others can not.

But here's the main thing I do not have the title I say you can or notto do so profitably.

For example, a customer decided he had to be done a great job for the alarm company to buy a stake in a well-known consumer electronics technology, and he called me and said, "We can sell them on the phone"

Quickly, I thought it would be difficult, but achievable. In other words, yes you can do, but no, it does not work, be profitable.

My instinct told me it simply does not want to do the number of sales of this disc, where the paymentcompared to using alternatives such as direct mail and retail channels.

However, he pushed me for a simple yes or no, and I told him that cost him a day of my time, so I could learn more about the prices, packaging, promotional inserts, and so on to listen.

He refused to take me, and he went on, trying to millions, losing to sell this product by telephone.

As you can imagine, I use this example in many ways, not just to show something like the phoneSales tool, but also the value of information and reasoned appeal cheese.

So the next time you hear or that question, appreciate the answer is yes, but there is always an asterisk next to the word!
